The design of this bracelet was inspired by a picture of a statue of a man wearing a floral-centred bracelet. [I have lost the reference, but believe it to have been Sumerian (c. 2500 BCE) or Etruscan (c. 500 BCE).]
The main bracelet is woven (finger-looped) from pure copper wire, and the terminals form an integral hook and catch. The five petalled flower is a tribute to the original inspiration. Finger-looping has the look of loop-in-loop chain common to the period, but is more rigid, thus maintaining the circular shape.
