Millefiore & Carnelian Short Earrings

Index Price: $NZ 65

Carnelian is a natural red stone of the Chalcedony family which has been used for millennia for jewellery

The 66mm square beads are known as 'millefiore' or 'thousand flowers' and are made from drawn molten multicoloured glass canes which are then cut into beads so that the 'flower' pattern is visible. This technique dates back to Classical Roman times and was only redeveloped last century.1

The Sterling Silver mounts and ear-wires are handmade on the premises.'
