This pendant has a combined weight of 9.92 gms of Sterling & Fine Silver. The design comprises five spirals created by sandwiching twisted-pair copper wire spirals between Sterling Silver plate and a brass plate, and then passing it through a Victorian Rolling-mill.
The background to the spirals was formed by the impression of the masking-tape used to hold the spirals in place. The pendant is enclosed by twisted-pair Fine Silver wires. The pendant is mounted on a black leather and Sterling Silver necklace. (All parts except the leather end-caps are solid metal handcrafted on the premises. The end-caps are commercial silver-plated findings.) The patterns are clearer in the second photo (below) which was taken before the pendant was polished. |
